Ahead of the 2026 election, Next50 invited candidates for the Colorado General Assembly and Candidates running for federal offices to share their views on the issues that matter most to older adults in their districts. We asked about issues that our grantees and partners work on every day, like caregiving, financial exploitation, Medicaid cuts, housing, and age discrimination.
For Candidates running for Colorado General Assembly, we received over 70 candidates across the House and Senate responded. Their answers, organized by district, offer a direct look at where the people running to represent you stand on aging policy. Read the full compiled responses here.
We compiled the few that we received for federal offices here.
Additionally, we invited all candidates running for statewide offices (Attorney General, Secretary of State, Treasurer and Governor) to record a short video on how, if elected, they would work to support older Coloradans.
