Marco Chayet is the founder and managing partner of Chayet & Danzo, LLC and ColoradoElderLaw.com. He is the Public Administrator of the 18th Judicial District, past chairman of the Elder Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association and current Elder Law Section delegate to the Colorado Bar’s Board of Governors.
In 2017 Colorado’s Governor appointed Mr. Chayet as the gubernatorial attorney Commissioner for the Colorado Office of Public Guardian. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Colorado School of Law, a member of the Academy of Special Needs Planners, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and has served as president of the Colorado Chapter of NAELA. Mr. Chayet is also a Colorado Supreme Court appointee to the Attorney Disciplinary Hearing Board.
Born and raised in Denver, Mr. Chayet continues in his family’s footsteps in assisting the philanthropic and civic communities of Colorado by serving on the board and committees of many nonprofit organizations including Next50 Initiative, Rose Community Foundation, InnovAge Foundation, Jewish Family Services, and Foundation for Hope.
Mr. Chayet received his JD from the University of Colorado School of Law, following undergraduate training at University of California and University of Colorado, where he received his BA.
