For Aging January 2025

Our latest newsletter went out this week. The early events of 2025 remind us of the resilience and dedication of those serving older adults, especially during crises. Whether rapidly responding to emergencies, such as delivering essential services during the devastating Los Angeles wildfires or steadfastly advocating for policies that strengthen your communities in the face of transition and upheaval, your work is a beacon of hope and strength. As we enter 2025, Next50 reaffirms our commitment to our mission supporting diverse aging communities, working tirelessly to advance equity and create more affordable, inclusive economic opportunities for all marginalized older adults.

We’re also kicking off the new year with some exciting updates. First, we launched our 2025 funding opportunities designed to support the economic well-being of older adults and the organizations that serve them. Everything you need to know about these grants is on our website.

The annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES), hosted by the Consumer Technology Association in Las Vegas, Nevada, brought together over 141,000 individuals from across the globe to unite tech visionaries in solving the world’s biggest challenges. Next50 was there supporting innovative startups in AgeTech and I advocated for stronger collaborations between nonprofits and the technology community. We have posted a blog about what we saw and our learnings on our website here.

As we embark on another year together, here’s to a year of fresh ideas, impactful collaborations, and ongoing resilience. We all must continue working together to create a world that values aging. ~ Peter Kaldes, Esq. President and CEO

In this issue, we also share our excitement about our 2025 funding opportunities, a powerful TEDx talk, and more.
