For Aging April 2025

Read our April newsletter here.

Next50 extends our heartfelt thanks to everyone who completed our April needs assessment survey. Your insights into your organization’s top needs and additional feedback are invaluable as we shape our support strategies moving forward, given the current uncertainty of state and federal funding.

While we’re processing your survey responses, we wanted to share some important insights from my recent blog examining how tariffs are impacting aging costs. As highlighted in “Aging’s Newest Cost: Tariffs”, these economic pressures come at a time when many older adults are already facing difficult choices between healthcare, housing, and other basic needs. This intersection of aging policy and economic policy demonstrates why we need comprehensive approaches that consider the full spectrum of factors affecting older adults’ well-being.

In the months ahead, we look forward to sharing more of our learnings and ways that Next50 can best meet the moment.

Thank you for your partnership in creating a world that values aging.
